How insurance covers incontinence supplies
NY Medicaid
Covers incontinence supplies when your doctor documents bladder or bowel incontinence and writes an order. Most people pay nothing.
Monthly amounts
Up to 250 disposable briefs and liners and up to 150 disposable underpads every 30 days. More can be approved when your doctor documents the need.
Medicare
Original Medicare does not cover adult briefs or underpads. Ask us about self-pay prices.
What we need from your doctor
An order that lists your diagnosis, the type of incontinence and how many changes you need each day. Your doctor can fax it to (844) 438-5893, or you can bring it to the store.

Common questions
Does NY Medicaid pay for adult diapers?
Yes. NY Medicaid covers adult briefs, liners and underpads when your doctor documents bladder or bowel incontinence and writes an order. Most Medicaid members pay nothing.
How many briefs does Medicaid cover each month?
Up to 250 disposable briefs and liners and up to 150 disposable underpads every 30 days, based on how often you need to change. Medicaid can approve more when your doctor documents a higher need.
Does Medicare cover incontinence supplies?
No. Original Medicare does not cover adult briefs or underpads. If you have both Medicare and Medicaid, Medicaid can cover them.
Why do you need my measurements?
Medicaid requires the right size for the product billed, and the right fit prevents leaks and skin irritation. We measure your waist and hips, or use your weight, to choose the size.
